This project also received the 2006 ASHRAE TEGA (Technology, Energy and Government Affairs) award.   2005 Start architectural design for the Town Park Plantation project in St. Charles County.     Awarded MSD Gravois Trunk Phase III project.   2004 Awarded Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Miscellaneous Mechanical Projects and Systems Upgrade project.     Awarded the MSD Gravois Trunk Phase II project.   2003 EDM is the recipient of the ASCE St. Louis Section 2003 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award for the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area.   2002 EDM begins full-service engineering for a five-year, open-end contract with NIMA. The agency is now known as NGA (National Geospatial Intelligence Agency).   2001 EDM awarded Moberly Correctional Center facility project - the largest project awarded by the State of Missouri for 2001.     EDM awarded mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum project.   2000 July - EDM expands to Illinois with the opening of a branch office in Fairview Heights Illinois.     Structural Engineering is provided for Enterprise Rent a Car Technology Data Center in Weldon Spring, Missouri.   Structural and Civil Engineering is provided for MasterCard's Global Technology Center in Ofallon, Missouri. 1999 EDM installs an office wide computer network, controlled by linux servers and providing a high level of office automation with regard to communications and document management. 1997 Mechanical Engineers at EDM recognized by the Consulting Engineers Council of Missouri with the Grand Engineering Excellence Award for innovative energy conservation efforts at Sea World Florida for a Chiller Replacement project.   Engineering Design and Management Inc. changes firm name to the simpler and more descriptive EDM Incorporated; Engineers, Architects and Planners.   1996 EDM provides structural design for major elements of the new Raysut Cement Plant in Oman.   1995 July - St. Charles Riverfront Station begins development of a major entertainment complex, including two major casinos in an 800' by 300' concrete basin and a large precast concrete entertainment deck designed by EDM structural engineers.   1993 June - EDM structural engineers design expansion, making the St. Louis Convention Center the 7th largest in the country. 1992 EDM begins structural engineering work on the domed stadium at Americas Center, home of the St. Louis Rams.   June - National Institutes of Health - Aids Research Facility; EDM Structural Engineers add four new floors to existing 4-story building.     Spring - The Living World opens at the St. Louis Zoo. EDM structural engineering handiwork is apparent in exposed structural system.   EDM moves all operations into an efficient, single-floor space at 220 Mansion House, in the heart of downtown St. Louis.   1986 August - St. Louis Union Station is renovated; the largest adaptive reuse project in the United States at the time; EDM provides all Structural Engineering Services. 1985 EDM performs large-scale energy conservation projects at military bases for Army Corps of Engineers in Europe.   1984 August - EDM adds automated drawing production with its first AutoCAD station powered by a personal computer with a 20mb hard drive, digitizer and HP7585 pen plotter.   1981 EDM is awarded a patent for an innovative HVAC system that uses cooling tower water to cool the building; and rejected heat from computer spaces to heat the building, all in a fully automatic mode over the entire heating/cooling range.     EDM designs, develops and becomes the major tenant in the renovation of the historic Hadley Square Building.   Firm changes name to Engineering Design & Management Inc., in recognition of a change to 100% employee ownership. 1978 EDM begins St. Louis Zoo upgrade including the Primate, Bird and Reptile houses. 1976 Big Cat Country at the St. Louis Zoo wins energy conservation award for innovative HVAC design.   April - Structural engineering capablity is established.   1975 State of Florida Life Cycle Analysis & Energy Conservation Manual. 1973 PGA Engineers, Inc. a joint venture between Employee Owners and a Corporate Owner is formed to provide quality consulting engineering services.
